Description

My North American Lion Guard equivalent of Bunga, drawn for :iconsuperdude2075:! (I hope I got it right.)

Despite an unsuccessful day of test-driving cars, I felt motivated to get this done. And actually, I think this drawing of the skunk version of Bunga turned out better than the first one I did of him with the whole Guard.

I think Bunga might have been better as a wolverine instead of a skunk. They are in the same family and have similiar lifestyles, ecological ninches, anatomies and behavior. Both are predators that are far from picky that will pretty much eat everything they can kill or find, and are very bold and vicious, as both are known to kill prey animals larger then them (Wolverines are known to prey on deer) and both will stand up to larger predators in disputes over food. Honey badgers have been known to attack lions, jackals and hyenas and wolverines have been seen chasing away wolves, cougars and even bears from their kills. And both smell quite a bit, as mustelids (A family of predators that includes weasels, ferrets, stoats, polecats, minks, martens, otters, wolverines and badgers) are known for their scent.

Skunks aren't exactly brave. They aren't really hunters (I work at a zoo, and we have skunks. They're actually quite docile when not startled and prefer fruit and vegetables over meat.) and are also not particular vicious or aggresive, such as a honey badger. So while their color scheme might be similiar, honey badgers and skunks have very little in common. Contrary to popular belief, they are not even closely related. Skunks, while previously classified as mustelids, are now in their own family.

Aside from that, I think the drawing is good! Keep up the good work.
