So yesterday I went to the wedding of one of the girls in my sorority. She was in my membership candidate class and she graduated last fall. I think she invited our whole chapter, but fortunately the ones who usually cause us all to fight didn't show up. I was glad because that would have made it really bad. The wedding was really nice. I don't have much to compare it to because the only other wedding I ever went to was my mom's cousin's, and it was ridiculous (like 200 guests ridiculous). The one I just went to was outside and luckily it happened in the small span of time when the sun was actually out. It was mostly traditional except for the music, which was the version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" played on the ukelele. The reception was right upstairs. Anyway, now for the exciting news.... I caught the bouquet!!! We all went up to the dance floor and stood behind her. Everyone was making fun of my friend Maddi and I for being really short. They made us stand in the front because we were the shortest, hoping it would go over our heads so they could catch it. But haha, it was their own fault for doing that because when she threw it, it didn't go very far so it came toward us instead of them. And it's also funny because right before that I was saying how no one ever suspects the short ones. Then I had to do the whole garter thing which was awkward but funny all at the same time. So if you're superstitious, you'll probably think I'll be getting married soon. Well, engaged maybe, but not married for at least a couple years! Now because of that I'm going to get tagged in a zillion pictures on facebook.

On the darker side, I might get in trouble at work because of this. You're not supposed to call off more than twice in 6 months, but this was my third in almost exactly 6 months. The first was because of a snowstorm and the second was because I was getting my wisdom teeth out. I was contemplating not going to the wedding, but then I thought it would be rude of me since she is a friend and I RSVP'd back in June. I don't know what counts and what doesn't because even though I called out sick for the surgery I did bring in a doctor's note. I guess I'll find out when I go into work tomorrow....
